Cedar Rapids Iowa Hotels
The city of Cedar Rapids is working with local, state and federal partners to keep its population informed of the outbreak of the coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. Due to the COID-19 public health emergency, the Cedar Falls Firefighters Foundation is canceling the 2020 firefight.
In addition to ongoing training, all employees must wear appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) based on their roles and responsibilities. All staff are trained to detect flu viruses - such as symptoms and procedures for reporting them to medical authorities. Staff will be aware of symptoms such as fever, chills, headaches and muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain and vomiting.
Employees will continue to be trained to meet global hygiene standards set by third parties such as Ecolab and NSF. We will continue to strengthen internationally recognized methods for identifying and managing food safety risks, including compliance with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Food Safety and Health Inspection Service (FSIS) guidelines.
We also want to use the guidance provided by the Iowa Department of Health. We will provide facts and prevention tips on our website and in our food safety and hygiene materials.
We will minimise physical contact as much as possible, but we will continue to provide a local doctor who will provide round-the-clock medical assistance if necessary. If you have been ill in the last two weeks and suffer from illnesses such as fever, cough, sore throat, nausea or vomiting, please stay home. The city's public services will continue to be visible on the Cedar Rapids City Facebook page and the Zoomography Zoom.
We encourage all our friends and family to do the same and be an advocate for responsible and accurate messages in this already stressful time.
As we continue our efforts to promote official verified information, we wanted to provide our residents with a list of trusted sources. This list, while certainly not exhaustive, contains the following: news sources, news organizations, and trusted sources of information. Please stop spreading disinformation by following these guidelines: Do not believe rumors, do not pass them on; and go to trusted sources to get information to get the facts.
Each step of a guest's journey has a defined protocol to ensure the safety and well-being of our guests and staff while maintaining the level of service that you expect. This includes the enforcement of hygiene and physical separation exercises, as well as the proper use of public transport. Users of our pathway system are encouraged to signal their presence by voice, bell or horn and to move away from the route to allow others to pass by.

When it's time to relax, have a drink at the bar, enjoy some time in the garden or sit in one of the many cafes, restaurants, bars and bars in the city. Often wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before going to the toilet or blowing your nose. This helps prevent the spread of COVID-19, according to the CDC, and if soap or water is not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. If you need to go out and blow your nose, you can always wash your fingers and hands with soap and water.
